We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the site.
Who is responsible
Netaq is the controller of personal data collected through netaq.com. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, write to moc.qaten@selas.
What we collect
The inquiry form collects what you type into it: your name, email address, telephone number, company, country, your message and, where you make one, the amount of your offer. If the form was sent from a domain's page, the domain name is recorded with it.
The site records standard technical server logs, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention. When you submit a form we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, to limit the rate of submissions from one connection and to detect automated ones. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other sites.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To respond to your inquiry and negotiate or complete a transaction — because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform one.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse of the site — on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
- To meet tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering obligations — where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Transaction details are shared with Escrow.com only as required to complete a transaction you have initiated. Escrow.com and our email provider operate in other countries, including the United States; where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on the provider's contractual data-protection commitments and transfer safeguards. We otherwise share personal data only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Inquiry records are kept for 24 months after our last contact with you, or for the duration of a transaction plus seven years where records must be retained for tax and accounting purposes. Server logs are kept for 90 days.
Your rights
Subject to local law, you may ask us to provide a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Write to moc.qaten@selas and we will respond within 30 days.
You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
